A renowned American cheesemonger whose career seamlessly blends production, retail excellence, and a deep educational background in the dairy industry.
After graduating with a degree in Animal Science in 2018, she began her journey in artisanal goat cheese production. She then transitioned behind the counter of various retail shops, sharpening her skills and discovering the power of one-on-one customer connections.
However, production remained close to her heart, leading her to join the award-winning Uplands Cheese farm in Wisconsin as a seasonal cheesemaker. Working under the guidance of head cheesemaker Andy Hatch, she deepened her understanding of the aging process of traditional American dairy products.
She currently works at the specialized shop The Mouse Hole Cheese Shop in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she continues to share the stories behind cheese with anyone eager to discover them.
In 2025, Hanna was named Young Cheesemonger of the Year, winning the global title for young cheese professionals. In June 2026, she triumphed at New York’s historic national competition, the Cheesemonger Invitational.
