A young Welsh cheesemonger certified by the Academy of Cheese, she gained international recognition at just 21 years old after winning the prestigious Young Cheesemonger of the Year title in 2023 during the World Cheese Awards in Norway.
Raised in South Wales, Lily manages the artisanal cheese and deli counter at her family’s business, Morris’ of Usk Garden Centre and Farm Shop. This was a project she designed and built entirely from scratch, where she now offers a curated selection of around 40 different cheese varieties, with a strong focus on small local and British producers.
In addition to her hands-on work, she has become a key figure for Gen Z and cheese enthusiasts alike through her educational content on social media, particularly via her Instagram account @thepetitecheese. Lily is highly praised for her ability to combine solid technical knowledge with fresh, engaging storytelling. In her videos, she shares behind-the-scenes glimpses of her daily work, recommends cheeses and pairings, and shares the stories of independent UK farmers and cheesemakers, actively promoting conscious consumption.
